Material
Sintered/fused alumina (Al2O3) refractory fired at high temperature
Characteristics
Spalling resistance, high strength at high temperature. Chemically stable in various atmospheres and very low contamination effects on fired products.
Applications
Kiln furniture (setters tiles, saggers etc.) for electronic componets (MLCC, NTC, PZT etc.), technical ceramics and lining material for high temperature furnaces.
**Many kiln furniture materials can also be ZrO2 spray or plasma coated
ALO SUPER® KE & KE-F Series
- Fired at extremely high temperature
- Excellent not only for its stability under load (sagging resistance) but also for its spalling resistance ensuring a long life expectancy in terms of achieved sintering cycles.
KE-120SP
85.3% Al2O3 - Coarse grains. Good spalling resistance. Commonly used as slide/base plates for pusher-type furnaces (max. temp. 1750°C). Used in various furnaces to fire multi-layer packages, alumina substrate and many kinds of alumina porcelains.
KE-164SP
85.1% Al2O3 - Coarse grains. Good spalling resistance. Commonly used as slide/base plates for pusher-type furnace (max. temp. 1750°C). In various furnaces to fire multi-layer package, alumina substrate and many kinds of alumina porcelains.
KE-130
86.3% Al2O3 - Medium-sized grains. Exceptional sagging resistance. Typical material for saggers, setter tiles, slide plates etc.
KE-701
90.7% Al2O3 - Ideal material for large size plates, setters
KE-F250
88.3% Al2O3 - Fine-sized grains. Provides very smooth surface and improved spalling resistance. Used for setter tiles and various other applications.
KE-F344
89.0% Al2O3 - Very fine-sized grains. Provides superior smooth surface conditions but is limited for use in small-sized setter tiles/saggers.
KE-F350
92.2% Al2O3 - Very fine-sized grains. Superior smooth surface combined with improved spalling resistance used for setter tiles/saggers.

ALO SUPER® 995 Series
- High purity and high density alumina, fused alumina
- Setter tiles, saggers. Especially useful for applications where silica is detrimental or in high temperature reducing atmospheres
995-FMG
99.8% Al2O3 - Medium-sized grains. Material used for setter tiles, saggers and slide plates.
995-FFG
99.8% Al2O3 - Similar to 995FMG, but possible to grind for obtaining higher quality smooth surfaces. In various furnaces to fire multi-layer package, alumina substrate and many kinds of alumina porcelains.

98.9% Al2O3 - Fine-sized grains. Superior smooth surface. Material for posts, weights etc
AZ95-FFG
95.0% Al2O3 - Fused alumina/fine-sized grains. Ideal material for setter tiles and saggers displaying following characteristics:
- Better spalling resistance and better reactivity resistance than 995-FMG and 995-FFG
- Zirconia is added to the fused alumina
- Setter tiles for firing high-purity alumina porcelains, ferrites etc

Y-1H
99.7% Al2O3 - Fused alumina with very fine-sized grains. Ceramic sheets.
Y-1
99.7% Al2O3 - Fused alumina with very fine-sized grains. Ceramic sheets. Less porous and higher modulus of rupture than Y-1H.

- Thickness of 1,5-2,0mm
